Kojiro Shiraishi’s Open 60, second in the last Around Alone is for sale. Formerly Dominique Wavre’s Temenos, second in The Transat Race of 2004 and fourth in the 2004/2005 Vendee Globe.
Built in 1999 at JMV Industries, Cherbourg out of the same mould as Team Group 4 and originally named UBP this yacht has seen many transformations since first launched. Fully optimised now to the IMOCA rule, a strong, reliable and proven boat for the next four year cycle of Open 60 racing. She is an eligible contender for the Eco division in the VELUX 5 OCEANS RACE 2010-11
The yacht is lying now out of the water in Gosport, UK having completed its sponsor sailing. The boat has been packed away, and equipment stored away in its container which is for sale. Available for viewing through prior arrangement.
