Yazykov drops out of Around Alone |

Viktor Yazykov’s fight to find money to complete the build of his open 50 has been won, but the funds have arrived too late to enable him to launch the boat in time for Around Alone.
Instead the yacht which is being completed at FK boats in Italy will be launched later in the year. Even then, it may not be possible to enter the French Route de Rhum Race because the delivery time for items such as the keel and mast may be too long to enable the boat to be launched in time. The builders at FK aided by Viktor’s own team from Russia are working round the clock to finish the boat in time however.
