This Akilaria RC2 class 40 has been successful, winning the Round Britain and Ireland race; Round Island Race; Normandy channel race; 2011 RORC Caribbean 600 race. The yacht has a proven pedigree of terrific seaworthiness and performance as it has been raced across the Atlantic several times by Pete Goss in the Route Du Rhum race single handed; and by Sam Goodchild and Ned Collier Wakefield in the RBI race/ Normandy Chanel race. The boat was fully surveyed in late 2017 and again in early 2019 and the surveys have shown she is still a very sound vessel suited for racing at speed either fully crewed or shorthanded.

The current owner has refurbished the boat with great care and attention, replacing the engine and gearbox, renewing all NKE electronics and renewing the standing rigging. The boat is still very well-known, the vinyl wrap very striking, competitive and previously in the ownership of Team Concise, of which many of those sailors have said she is still very quick at top level and ready to race again. She has a large wardrobe of sails and spares to be included in the sale.
