Sandwich construction with vinylester resin in female moulds
Balsa core in hull, PVC foam in deck all constructed using infusion process
Hardwood inserts in way of all hardware
Monolithic (solid glass) areas in way of sail drive, keel, rudder bearings, thru-hulls and crash box. Reserve buoyancy of 3 cubic metres of foam per Cass 40 rules
Crash bulkhead forward C/W inspection port and cover
Crash bulkhead aft C/W inspection/escape hatches
Rigging & Deck gear:
Mast is carbon fiber by Lorima and has been removed for inspection and clear lacquer replaced with white epoxy in January 2016 to reduce heat load. Mast spreader’s are aluminum
Boom is Helo Composites carbon boom fitted with lazy jacks and mesh lazy bag to retain reeled main. Repainted with epoxy in January 2016
Rod rigging age unknown but probably original however non-destructive crack testing completed in January 2016
Running backstay, forestay and inner forestay age unknown however probably original but still in reasonable condition. Forestay top thrust bearing replaced September 2018
Main halyard (double purchase) replaced in May 2016
Spare main halyard (single purchase) also used as topping lift fitted in April 2017
Spinnaker sheets replaced in April 2017
A large part of the running rigging was replaced by previous owner during Spring 2013.  
Removable carbon bowsprit for flying A and coded sails. Repainted with white epoxy in December 2015
Carbon spinnaker pole with kevlar reinforcement- pole in new condition and includes ropes to set up to fly A sails from pole
2 speed electric halyard winch installed on starboard cabin top (original manual winch included and easily refitted if necessary)  
Twin laminated wood tillers with canvas covers
The sail wardrobe is the full racing one with the following sails:
Racing mainsail - Quantum fusion carbon - very little use since new in April   2013
Racing jib - soft hanked Quantum fusion-twaron with 1 reef. Very good as reacher - very little use since October 2011  
Staysail - heavy soft hanked Dacron with 1 reef (have single line furler and anti-torsion stay for this sail but not set up yet).

Tanks are filled and/or emptied via a single centreline located SoFo Marin scoop and electric high volume pump. Discharge and transfer is via gravity
