The Swan 82 "ALPINA" is an up to date expression of the fast Maxi-cruiser concept. She is the result of accumulated knowledge, yet drawn afresh. The vessel is a modern sailing yacht built to be fast, yet be perfectly in keeping with company’s traditional core values: elegant lines, luxurious interiors, ease of handling and reliability. Her performance oriented hull and clean deck layout mask comfortable internal volume and a wealth of technical features that combine to offer outstanding long range cruising capabilities. The Frers-designed Swan 82 "ALPINA" is a boat that is intended to be both a racing and a cruising boat. ALPINA is a centre-mid cockpit Swan 80 development offering a great layout for racing or cruising.

The accommodation plan of this yacht is divided into crew and owner’s-party areas. Aft of the mast the accommodation is laid out for an owner’s party of three couples. Only the aft stateroom has a double berth, but each stateroom has its own head. Light and fast, elegant and comfortable, the Swan 82 "ALPINA" is the superyacht that epitomises the cruiser/racer concept combining speed, seaworthiness, technology and innovation to ensure exceptional performance and aesthetics. Hull number seven "ALPINA" was conceived to embrace all of these aspects and has become one of the most recognizable Swans ever built. As a racer, she has proven herself as an unstoppable force claiming overall victory in the inaugural season of the Swan Maxi Class with an outstanding win at the 2008 Swan Cup in Porto Cervo. Her racing qualities are well known but as a performance cruiser, she is equally adept offering her guests all the amenities that one would expect on a world class cruiser.
