IMOCA Open 60 Rosalba For Sale

Rosalba, ex, Gaetana, Rusalka, Artemis 1, Pindar and originally built as Hexagon is now for sale. Rosalba is a canting keel water ballasted IMOCA Open 60 and is one of the lightest of any generation ever built. Even with the increased weight of modifications to her rig bringing her in line with later Owen Clarke designs she still measures in at 8,350kg. Rosalba has been continually and professionally maintained and updated throughout her life by her owners/skippers including Mike Sanderson and Brian Thompson. As a result, she's still a very fast Open 60, her last transatlantic race was the 2008 TJV and prior to this her original keel was replaced. During that race, as "Artemis 1", she was dis-masted and a new Formula Spars rig was stepped and new North 3DL fore and aft sails built. Her schedule over the past few years has seen her perform more of a corporate function day/charter role and as a result she has covered few miles offshore and has been professionally maintained by Carbon Yachting of Hamble. Having been used largely as a private yacht by the previous two owners since late 2009, her current owner acquired Rosalba to compete in various IMOCA events, Rosalba would also be ideally be suited to the longer offshore RORC races, Round Britain and Ireland and RORC Transatlantic Race.
