OCD keel wins Superyacht Award
At the inaugural Showboats Design Awards at Palm Beach the superyacht Liara won the design and technology award for its innovative lifting keel. The award was presented to Bill Dixon Yacht Design for whome Owen Clarke Design undertook the detail design and engineering on behalf of their client.

On the Third day of the Pacific Cup, Pegasus, an Owen Clarke Open 50 skippered by American Philippe Kahn and his crew of three have smashed the 24 hour record for this size of yacht.

40 Degrees a close run second in Normandy Channel Race
After a tense, epic last twenty four hours of the Normandy Race, 40 Degrees runs out of runway for its attack and is pipped into second place by Destination Dunkerque. A fantastic inaugural race, this event will hopefully become a classic event in the Class 40 calendar.

Pegasus smashes Transpac double-handed record
Honolulu, HI (July 13, 2009) – The record for double-handing the Transpacific Yacht Race from Los Angeles to Honolulu has been broken. At 4:38:35 am HST today, Philippe Kahn and Mark “Crusty” Christensen, crossed the Diamond Head finish line in the Owen Clarke designed Open 50, Pegasus 50, in a record time of 7 days, 19 hours, 38 minutes and 35 seconds.

Pegasus sets new Pacific Cup record
HONOLULU, HI--(Marketwire - July 30, 2008) - The Waikiki Yacht Club announced today that Skipper Philippe Kahn, with co-skipper Richard Clarke of Canada, set a new record for the 2008 Pacific Cup race of 7 days, 15 hours, 17 minutes and 50 seconds. The prior record was set by Volvo Ocean Race winner Stan Honey in 1992.
