Back to the market due to an unexpected change in life plans for her owner, 6 Lazy K is an Open 60 (Ex-IMOCA), designed by Bernard Nivelt, built and sailed by Thierry Dubois in the Vendee Globe 2000 and in the Around Alone in 2002. She was later campaigned by Rich Wilson who achieved 9 th   in the 2009 Vendee Globe Race. She achieved a 3 rd   place in the Velux 5 Oceans Race in 2011 with Derek Hatfield. Designed for speed and durability, the Open 60 is one of the fastest boats in sailing. When set up for short-handed sailing, sail manoeuvres and navigation are all easily dealt with from the sheltered cockpit and ergonomic compact cabin. They can just as equally be sailed by a full crew or in singlehanded configuration to take part in events like the RORC Fastnet, Middle Sea Race, Sevenstar Round Britain Race, Trans-Atlantic Race and RORC 600. New standing rigging is currently being installed alongside a general service programme.

:

6 Lazy K is an excellent example of an earlier generation Open 60 that has been consistently improved and will stand the test of time for many years to come. The boat planes easily and can comfortably sail at 25 knots downwind or on a reach. 6 Lazy K is in great shape, environmentally friendly with her electric engine and has been maintained for comfort, safety and reliability.  She is suitable for offshore racing, charter, sponsorship opportunities or high-speed thrills and oceanic passage making.
