The Figaro Beneteau 3 has the distinction of being the first, production, foiling one design monohull. A result of the collaboration between VPLP and Beneteau, the Figaro 3 improves on its predecessor with foils that increase lift and reduce leeway, an optimised slender and deeper keel, no need for water ballast, a more extensive sail plan, which all adds up to a significant 15% increase in performance. The boat (previously known as “A Fond La Girafon”) has been true to its racing pedigree, winning Line Honors in the 2018 Pacific Cup and competing in Transpac 2019.
