Rather that in the past we have often end up as unoffical brokers for the sale of performance yachts, particularly those that we have either designed, built or sailed. We are now putting this relationship with our clients on a professional footing which will allow us to offer a service rather than the briefest of advice. Our relationship with international yacht brokers BoatshedPerformance.com allows OCD to provide the contractural services required to help you purchase a performance yacht worldwide. In addition to running the commercial aspects of the conveyancing, Boatshed Performance will also market your yacht through their database (of over 390,000 clients - as of Feb 2011, who download more than one million photos each day) and more than 40 offices around the globe. Owen Clarke's terms of reference as well as advertising though our own database and website extends to acting as advisors and technical consultants. We offer our considerable expertise in the design/construction and operation of performance sailing craft to every client in order to facilitate a succesful rapid purchase/sale. Our brokerage site provides the basic introductory information and does not offer the facility of online viewing of 40+ photographs per boat that is offered by Boatshed Performance. However that means that often we are able to list boats earlier than our partners and sometimes for contractural reasons we are able to list vessels that they are unable to, and vice versa. So, please scroll through both sites to find the boat you want. Our primary mission is to provide technical assistance and broker the sale and charter of Open 60, Open 50, Class40 and Mini Transat yachts. These are of course classes in which we have specialist knowledge and interest. We will also be providing a virtual window for the sale and charter of high performance cruising boats and vessels that are perhaps a little out of the ordinary. In the future we will expand our brokerage range in parallel with the diversification of our design business. Our commission fees cover all normal brokerage services, conveyancing and legal costs and are subject to a standard brokerage contract subject to UK law. In some cases, for example, where international travel or extraordinary consultancy services are involved additional fees may be quoted and/or expenses charged. If applicable such circumstances will be made clear to the client prior to listing the vessel.
