Time's run out to finish our new Class 40 scow and race the 2023 TJV (Transat Jacques Vabres), so instead of heading for completion in France, Owen Clarke’s latest sailboat design leaves Evolution Marine for 40 specialist, Brian Harris's yard in in the USA for completion. Her first race will be the RORC 600. Lead designer Merfyn Owen was in Cape Town last week to inspect the build and see Michael Hennessy’s new sailboat packed up before she shipped.
