Owen Clarke 40, #157 finishes second overall in first edition of the 40 Malouine

Over the weekend thirteen Class 40s met in St Malo for the first edition of he 40 Malouine regatta. This was the last Class 40 racing before the season's grand finale, the Transat Jacques Vabres. After a double-handed overnight course of 180 miles on Saturday, the fleet finished the series with two ten-mile coastal races off the Brittany coast. #157, Cape Racing Yachts Class 40 under her christened name, Imagine, was again crewed by the same team that hit the podium in this year's Normandy Channel Race, Jorg Riechers and Cedric Chateau. The German/French team put up a consistent performance against #150 the Lift 40 of Louis Duc and Luke Berry's Mach 40.3 with a third, third and first in the last race. The 24 hour race and the regatta overall was finally won by Luke's #153, La Motte et Module Creation, which, based on this years performance is the favourite for TJV honours.
